These verses say that the liquid which creates humans comes from between the back and the ribs. This looks suspiciously like an old biology error where people mistakenly thought semen came from the kidneys.
The Arabic word used (Zani) can mean either a married person having sex with someone other than their spouse (adulterer), or a person having sex outside of marriage (fornicator.) This has led to confusion where some people say the punishment of 100 lashes only applies to fornicators whereas others say it also applies to adulterers. This has led to numerous married people being stoned to death for adultery (Iran/Afghanistan), with some people claiming the sentence was lawful and others claiming it was unlawful.
People have interpreted the words of you/among you to mean that this verse only applies to widows of Muslim men, which means there is no waiting period for sex specified in the Quran which applies to widowed female captives of war.Due to the absence of such a specification it is understood by some that sex with a widowed female captive of war is permissible as soon as she completes her first menstrual cycle, which could be within a matter of days (see hadiths).Arguably, a woman who’s family have been killed cannot be considered to be in a fit mental state to consent to having sex at all, let alone with one of the party of people who killed them.
This verse says one should wait three months before having sex with a female in order to ensure she is not already pregnant. It says this waiting period is for those females who no longer have menstrual cycles and those who do not have them. This suggests both menopausal women and young girls who have not yet started their periods.Over time this has been interpreted to mean that it is permissible to have sex with wives too young to have started their menstrual cycles.
See [23.5] Make sex with slaves by consent only.
